Roy Jordan, age 60, passed away on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at his home in Sayreville, NJ. Born in London, Roy emigrated to the US in 1970, arriving in New York on the QE2 liner. He lived in the Bronx, New York until he attended college in Long Island. After graduating from Long Island University with a Bachelor of Science degree, he played professional basketball in Scotland and England. He earned honors playing for the English National Team in several tournaments across Europe. He returned to the US with his family in 1988, moving to New Jersey in 1993. Before his retirement Roy was employed as a project manager with AT&T for over 25 years.
He will be remembered fondly for his booming laugh, being a prankster, his love of playing and watching basketball and being an avid Gamer!
He is survived by his daughters, Cristina Jordan, Natalie Jordan and her boyfriend Rua, his loving girlfriend Robin Owen and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Visiting hours at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin, will be Thursday, May 27th from 3pm to 7pm. Funeral services will take place on Friday, May28th at 10am at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Clover Leaf Cemetery, Woodbridge.
