Obituary for Rocco T Candelora

Parlin
Rocco T. Candelora, age 92 of the Parlin section of Sayreville passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Parker at Monroe. Born in Brooklyn, NY on August 16, 1928 to Domenico & Angelina Candelora, he has resided in Parlin since 1966. Rocco graduated from Pace University with a BS Degree in Accounting and before his retirement, worked for Ford Motor Company in Newark as an accountant for 34 years. After his retirement he worked as an accountant for E.I. Dupont for 3 years. Mr. Candelora proudly served his country during World War II in the US Army, was a member of the Sayreville Knights of Columbus Council 2061, St Bernadette’s Seniors and a former communicant of Our Lady of Victories R.C. Church in Sayreville.

Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his loving wife Alberta Iovino Candelora in 1992, his siblings Louise Cimino, Salvatore Candelora and Mary Mendelkow. Surviving are his sons and their wives Danny & Maryann of Sayreville, Robert & Diane of Colonia, and Joseph & Michele of Lakewood, his grandchildren Dawn Barrera and her husband Richard, Abby Candelora, Nikolas and Michael Candelora, two step grandsons, David and Brian Vogel, his great grandchildren Richard Jr., Alberta, Jonathan, Daniel and Jennifer Barrera, his great great granddaughter Reanna Barrera, and his sister Dorothy Zanone.

Callings hours at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin, NJ on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 from 11am to 1pm followed by a 1pm prayer service at the funeral home with burial to follow at New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin.
