Obituary for Robert "Bobby " Lahrman
Robert “Bobby” Lahrman, age 66 of the Sayreville passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at RVMC, Red Bank with his loving daughter and girlfriend at his side. Born in Perth Amboy, Bobby had resided in Sayreville most of his life.
Before his retirement in 1995 Mr. Lahrman was employed as a supervisor for the Sayreville Water Department. Bobby was involved in his community as a member of the Sayreville American Legion, South Amboy Boat Club and Ortley Beach Moose Club. He will be remembered fondly for his love of the Jersey Shore, taking many trips with friends and family members to his beloved beach house. His greatest joy was spending time with his 2 grandchildren Abigail and Jonah.
He is predeceased by his parents Louis and Mary Lahrman. Surviving are his daughter and son in-law Brandi & Jordan Thomas, his longtime girlfriend Corrie Penland, his grandchildren Abigail and Jonah, his siblings and their spouses Mariethel and Chuck Harding, Linda and Dennis Lynch, Louie and June Lahrman, Richard Lahrman and Jerry and Cindy Lahrman, his best friend Richie Jurkiewicz and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Services will take place 11am Sunday from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin with prayer services beginning at 12pm. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Saturday from 2pm to 6pm. Due to current Covid-19 surges, please note that masks must be worn in the funeral home at all times.
