Rita M. Pochopin, age 92, formerly of Cliffwood Beach, passed away peacefully at home in Manalapan with her loving family by her side. Born in Duryea, PA she resided in Cliffwood Beach for almost 40 years then moved to Keyport before moving to Manalapan. Before her retirement Rita worked at Raritan Bay Medical Center. She loved bingo, traveling to Atlantic City, scrabble and cooking. She was a communicant of St. Lawrence Church and a member of the Rosary Society in Lawrence Harbor. Rita was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and so much more. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

She is predeceased by her husband Walter and her daughter Donna Marie Nilsen as well as her grandson Christopher Daniel Pochopin. Surviving is her son Daniel & his wife Denise Pochopin, her beloved grandchildren Deena Marie and her husband Angel Ortiz & Danielle Courtney Pochopin, her great-grandsons Noah & Dominic (Leo) Ortiz and a host of other relatives who will miss her dearly.

Funeral services will be Saturday 8:45am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin, with a 10am Mass at St. Lawrence Church in Lawrence Harbor. Entombment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Parlin.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be Friday from 5pm to 9pm.
