South Amboy
Richard “Butch” Holsworth age 76 of South Amboy passed away Thursday December 31, 2015 at his home. Born in Sayreville he has resided there before moving to South Amboy in 1998. Before his retirement 14 years ago he was employed as a heavy equipment operator for the Borough of Sayreville where he worked for 32 years. While working for the Borough of Sayreville Richard served as shop steward, president and vice president of AFSCME local 3527.

He is predeceased by his loving wife of 58 years Margaret “Peggy” McAteer Holsworth, his parents August & Mary Holsworth, and his siblings Grace Maag, Frederick, Francis and Robert Holsworth. Surviving are his children and their spouses Michael & Patty Holsworth of Parlin, Susan & Mark Lewandowski of Sayreville, Maryanne & Butch Clouatre of Chandler, Az., Wendy & Chuck Leonhardt of East Brunswick, and Michelle & Chris Bardsley of Sayreville, 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday 8pm at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin with private cremation to follow.
