Obituary for Richard E Robertson

Richard E. Robertson, age 83 of Parlin, passed away Saturday, April 3, 2021, at RWJ Hospital in New Brunswick. Born and raised in Jersey City NJ, then he resided in Parlin (Sayreville) for over 55 years. Rich worked as a Supervisor for Sealand in Elizabeth for 33 years. He also helped his Son Tom in the photo business for a few years. Richard served his country as a proud US Army Veteran at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. He said he remembered the coldest nights of his life in Missouri!

He is predeceased by his parents Mary McDermott of Hoboken and Alexander Walker Robertson of Arbroath Scotland, siblings Anne Wilkins, Alexander Robertson and Arthur Robertson. Surviving are his loving wife Patricia Robertson, his children and their spouses Michael and Elaine Robertson, Thomas and Kuniko Robertson and Beth and Alan Sica. His cherished grandchildren are Alexander, Patrick, Conor and John, loved by Tommy, Lauren, Madison, Ryan, Alex and Gabby as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors who will miss him dearly. He cherished his friends and family.
Calling hours at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin will be Thursday, April 8, 2021 from 3pm to 7pm with a 6pm service at the funeral home. A toast to Rich will follow across the street at Bello's Restaurant . All are welcome.
