Obituary for Richard R Griggs
South River
Richard R. Griggs age, 84 of South River passed away Wednesday October 9th, 2019 at Village Point in Monroe. Born in Manhattan, and raised in Lakewood in New Jersey. Richard would then move to South River where he lived the rest of his life. Before his retirement Richard was Employed by Permacial in North Brunswick.
He is predeceased by his parents Walter and Mary Griggs and his brothers Walter and Eddie Griggs. Surviving are his loving wife of 53 years Barbara Griggs, his daughter and son in-law Dianne and Peter Modica, his grandchildren Brittany and Nicholas Modica, his nephews Paul, Jimmy and Michael Griggs as well as many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday 10am from the Maliszewski Funeral Home, 218 Whitehead Avenue South River, followed by a burial at Holy Cross Burial Park, North Brunswick.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Monday from 4pm to 8pm at the funeral home. Letters of condolence, direction and completed arrangements can be found at maliszewskifuneralhome.com
