Richard Bockman
Age 83 - Lakewood, NJ
Richard was called to rest on December 12th. Richard was born in New Brunswick, NJ and resided for many years in Monmouth Junction (South Brunswick) before moving to Lakewood, NJ in 2012.
He was predeceased by his father Henry Bockman and mother Viola Rule of New Brunswick; Sister Eleanor and 2 brothers, Henry and Kenneth Bockman. Surviving are 3 daughters; Brenda Pateman and her husband Mark of Somerville, NJ, Karen Horn of Hatfield, PA, Michelle Bockman of NJ, and Son Michael Bockman of Maryland. 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Also, predeceasing Richard was his life companion, Irene Eden. Caring lovingly for Richard for many years was Irene’s family; JoAnn Mingoia and her husband Salvatore; and James Eller and his partner Denise Averette. Extended family; Brenda Kaiser, Candace Court, Tiffany Eosso, and Martine Baker.
Richard enjoyed crafting and would create beautiful items that brought joy to others and many shared memories. He also enjoyed music of many genres and would be known to cut-a-rug on the dance floor on special occasions. Richard will always be remembered for his feistiness and sense of humor.
Interment Service will be Saturday 11am at Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick, NJ as arranged by Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home in Parlin.
