Obituary for Raymond Zaczek Jr.
Raymond Zaczek Jr, age 71 of Smyrna, DE passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at his home. Born in Perth Amboy he had resided in Sayreville for 62 years before moving to Delaware 9 years ago. He was a US Navy Veteran serving in the Vietnam War aboard the USS Savannah AOR-4. Before his retirement he was employed as a boiler inspector for Hartford Steam Boiler Insurance Company, Kemper Insurance and Royal Insurance. Ray was a communicant of St Stanislaus Kostka RC Church in Sayreville and a member of the Holy Name Society. He was also a communicant of St Polycarp RC Church in Smyrna, DE and a life member of the Sayreville VFW Post 4699.
He is predeceased by his parents Raymond and Helen Zaczek. Surviving are his loving wife of 51 years; Kathy Wilson Zaczek, his brother; Greg Zaczek and his wife Lynda of Charleston, TN, his sisters -in- law and brothers- in- law and their spouses; Terry and George Ramos of Beaumont, TX and George and Joanne Wilson of Bethlehem, PA, his niece Kati Rodrigues and her husband Manny and their sons Jacob and Matthew of Macungie, PA, and his aunt Theresa Adams of Citra, FL He is also survived by several cousins across the country.
Funeral services will take place on Thursday 8:30am from the Maliszewski Memorial Home, 121 Main St, Sayreville with a 9am Mass at St Stanislaus RC Church in Sayreville. Burial will follow at St Stanislaus Cemetery in Sayreville.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Wednesday from 3pm to 7pm.
