Obituary for Raymond P. Valentine

Sayreville
Raymond P. Valentine, age 94 of Sayreville, passed away peacefully at JFK Hospital in Edison. Born in Newark, he had lived in Clark for 53 years before moving to Sayreville one year ago. Before his retirement, Ray worked as a butcher in Newark. He was a proud US Army Veteran of the Korean War Conflict. Ray always had a story to share and loved nothing more than sharing it over a glass of wine or a cigar with family and friends. He will always be remembered for his great smile and the best hugs.

He is predeceased by his loving wife Helen in 2018, his brothers Rev. Lambert F. Valentine, Joseph, & Nicholas and his sister Rose Montefusco.

Surviving are his cherished children Raymond Jr. and his wife Donna, and Barbara Falco and her husband Frank; his beloved grandchildren Frank, Chris, Kerri, Matthew, Jennifer and Ryan; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

A private cremation was entrusted to the Maliszewski Memorial Home, 121 Main Street, Sayreville. A memorial Mass to celebrate Raymond’s life will be celebrated at St. Bernadette’s RC Church in Parlin on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 10:30am.
