Philip “Tippy” Sarno, age 85 of Sayreville passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Bayshore Medical Center, Holmdel. Born in Port Reading, Mr. Sarno had resided between New Jersey and Florida for most of his life. Before his retirement Tippy worked as a service department supervisor for Sears, Roebuck Co.

He is predeceased by his son Gary Sarno, daughter in law Rae Ann Sarno and “brother” in law Ronald Zelesnick, Sr. Surviving are his loving wife of 66 years Marian Sarno, his children and their spouses, Philip Sarno Jr., Donna Camporeale (Lenny) and Karen Nagy (Kenneth), his grandchildren, Jaclyn, Jennifer, Kenny (Pamela), Kristin (Michael), Philip and Lisa (Tim), and his 11 great grandchildren. Also surviving are his sister in law, Carolyn Zelesnick, his nephews, Ronald and David Zelesnick and his niece Maribeth Miskoff.

Calling hours at The Carmen F Spezzi Funeral Home, Parlin, NJ 08859 will be Monday from 3pm to 7pm. A 9:30 am Funeral Mass is being offered at Our Lady of Victories R.C. Church, Sayreville, Tuesday, February 9, 2021. Due to Covid-19 regulations, there is a limit of 100 guests allowed in the building at once and masks must be worn at all times.
