Obituary for Peter J Pryor
Peter J. Pryor, age 102 of South River, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Born in Sayreville he had resided in South River for the past 68 years. He was a proud US Army Air Force Veteran serving in Europe during World War II. Before his retirement he was employed as a chemical operator by Bristol-Myers Squibb in New Brunswick for 35 years. He was a long-time communicant of St Mary of Ostrabrama RC Church in South River. Peter enjoyed gardening, was a member of the South River VFW Post 1451, St Mary’s Holy Name Society and the Bristol Myers-Squibb Retiree Club.
He is predeceased by his parents Julius and Wladyslawa Przybylowski, his brothers Edward, John, Stephen and Julius Przybylowski, his sister Violet Keck, his son Donald Pryor and his wife Sophie Pryor. Surviving are his son James Pryor of South River, his grandson Michael Pryor of Colorado and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will take place Saturday, 8:30am from the Maliszewski Funeral Home, 218 Whitehead Ave, South River with a 9am Mass at St Mary of Ostrabrama Church in South River. Burial will follow at St Mary’s Cemetery in East Brunswick.
