Obituary for Paul Andrew Matyas

Paul Matyas, age 54, passed away peacefully at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital on Sunday May 23rd after a valiant fight against cancer. Paul was a very caring person who will be missed greatly.

Paul was a graduate of Trenton State College. He worked for I.F.F. in South Brunswick as a courier. Paul was a lifelong member of the First Reformed Church of South River where he often ushered.

Paul is Survived by his mother, Betty Nemeth Matyas and his sister Beth Matyas Whildin. Also surviving are his aunts Nell Matyas and Joyce Matyas as well as many Matyas and Szabo cousins.

Paul is Predeceased by his father Andrew P. Matyas, his brother-in-law Lee Whildin, his grandparents Alex and Mary Nemeth, Andrew and Nellie Matyas, and his step-grandfather Ed Slosar. Also, his aunts and uncles Carl and Angela Nemeth, Frank and Maryann Szabo, and Richard Matyas as well as his cousins Frank and Julie Szabo and Wendy Matyas.

Funeral services will be Thursday May 27th 10am at the First Reformed Church, 40 Thomas St. South River NJ. A burial will follow at Washington Monumental Cemetery, South River NJ.
