Obituary for Patricia Ann Polanco

Patricia Ann (Soell) Polanco went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 1, 2022. She was surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and her husband of 44 years.

Patricia was born on October 24, 1945, in Bronx, NY, daughter of Howard and Dorothy Soell. She was raised there and moved to New Jersey at the age of 20, where she lived out her life. Patricia was a lively, vivacious, and loving woman. She was quick to laugh and quick to offer you hugs. She was tough as nails with a smart mind. She also had the biggest and softest heart imaginable. Her grandchildren remember her best for being just as silly as they were, always making time together fun. Forts made from blankets in the living room and paper towel roll fights were the best. It was not uncommon for her to randomly break out singing, usually singing a commercial jingle, triggered simply by a word in your conversation. Her favorite movie was Gone with the Wind. She loved going to the movies, eating out, going shopping and spending time with her family.

Patricia was a strong woman of faith with thanks and praise to Jesus always on the tip of her tongue. Her love of the Lord lead her four children to Jesus. She was a prayer warrior, constantly praying for the safety and well-being of her family and loved ones. She never had any doubts about the fact that she would go to Heaven when she passed on from this life to the next.

Patricia is survived by her husband, Julio Polanco; 3 daughters: Laura Caraballo-Silva and husband Alex Silva of New Jersey, Christine Caraballo and husband Josue Gomez of New Jersey, Carissa Torres and husband David of Illinois; 1 predeceased son: Kenneth Caraballo; 7 Grandchildren: Erik, Carina, Jacqueline, Krystyna, Tiffany, Angelica and David; 10 Great-Grandchildren: Elijah, Mariah, Elijahni, Aidan, Isaiah, Logan, Elijah, Liliana, Lyra and Leilani.
