Obituary for Otilia Salagaj

Otilia Salagaj, 93, of Sayreville entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 16, 2022 at Roosevelt Care Center, Old Bridge. Born in West Warwick, Rhode Island, she had resided in Newark, Nutley and Sayreville, New Jersey. Before her retirement, Otilia worked as a classroom aide for the Newark Preschool Council for many years.

Otilia is predeceased by her brothers Anthony and Alfred Barroso. She is survived by her loving husband of 72 years Stanley Salagaj; her high school sweetheart and truly the love of her life. Also surviving are her son Stanley, Jr. and his wife Deborah, her daughter Joanne Pucciarello, her sister Marie Pinho, her granddaughter Danielle and her husband Tim, her grandson Robert and his wife Daniela, her granddaughters Patricia and Alyssa, her great-grandchildren, Anthony, Adriana, Maximus and Martina as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

Otilia or Tillie as she liked to be called was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt. She especially enjoyed spending quality time with her family. Tillie was loved by many and will be missed by all.

Funeral services will take place on Monday 8:45 A.M. from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin with a 9:30A.M. Mass at St Bernadette R.C. Church in Parlin. Burial will take place 12:30pm Wednesday at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown.
