Myhajlo Gayshun, age 87 of South River, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2019 peacefully at JFK Hospital in Edison. Born in Belarus, he had lived in Germany before moving to South River 68 years ago. Before his retirement, Myhajlo had worked as a carpenter for Wilmar Construction Company in Colonia for many years. He was a member of St. Euphrosynia Orthodox Church in South River.
He is predeceased by his parents Mitrafan and Wasiuta.
Surviving are his sister Maria Zydowicz and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be Tuesday 9:30am from the Maliszewski Funeral Home 218 Whitehead Ave. South River with a 10:00am service at St. Euphrosynia Church in South River. Burial will follow at St. Euphrosynia Cemetery in South River.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be from 5pm to 7pm with Panahida Services beginning at 6:30pm.
