Muriel Wilchek, age 88, of the Parlin section of Old Bridge, peacefully passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at Cranbury Center in Monroe Township. Born and raised in Yonkers, NY to the late Joseph and Julia McGuinness, Muriel and her family moved to many places in the northeast during their lives, but none compared to her dream home in South Plainfield. Before her retirement, Mrs. Wilchek worked as a secretary to the District Manager for Radio Shack. She was a devout parishioner of Sacred Heart RC Church in South Plainfield who will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Muriel is predeceased by her beloved husband of 65 years John W. Wilchek. Surviving are her 5 children, 9 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass is scheduled for 11am on Thursday at St. Bernadette’s RC Church in Old Bridge. Burial will follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery in South Plainfield.
