Obituary for Michael "Mickey" Mauro Sr.
Michael “Mickey” Mauro Sr., age 68, passed away peacefully Friday, September 6, 2019, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Hoboken, Mickey had lived in Perth Amboy before living in the Parlin section of Sayreville for 40 years and then moving to Orlando, FL. Mickey was a performer who entertained for generations. As a graduate of Fairleigh Dickenson University with a B.S. Degree, he was also a proud business owner for many years. Mickey lived for his family. He represented their hearts, he was their shelter, and will forever remain their foundation.
He is predeceased by his father James Mauro Jr. Surviving are his beloved wife of 46 years Donna Spezzi Mauro, his adored children Charlene, Michael Jr., Anthony and his wife Janelle, son-in-law Marc Sr., his cherished grandchildren Gianna, Daniela and her husband Blaine, Marc Jr., Ava, Natalia, Gabriella and Lia, his beloved great-grandchildren Shannon, Jacob Charles, and Beau Michael, his mother Roslyn Mauro Auricchio, his mother in law Gertrude Spezzi, his siblings James Mauro, Frank Mauro, David Mauro and his wife Melissa, Kelly Mauro-Hughes, Debra Lynch and her husband John, Louis Auricchio, Neil Auricchio, his brother-in-law Carmen Spezzi Sr. and his wife Christine, his sister-in-law Darlene Spezzi and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
A private cremation was entrusted to the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home. A memorial service will take place November 29, 2019 from 12-2pm at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home. Letters of condolence may be left for the family at www.spezzifuneralhome.com.
