Maureen O’Neill Balboa, age 65 of Colonia, passed away Sunday, April 4, 2021 at her home, with her loving family by her side. Born in Newark, she had resided in Colonia for many years. Maureen worked as an executive administrator for Schering Plough in Kenilworth for several years. She was a communicant of St. John Vianney in Colonia. She loved the beach, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
She is predeceased by her parents Albert and Dorothy O’Neill, her brothers Brian and Albert and her sister Rita.
Surviving are her husband of 29 years George, her children David Vincent Napoli, George Balboa III, Tara Balboa, her cherished grandchildren Sophia, David Vincent II, Hunter William and Molly Margaret, her siblings and their spouses Patrick & Jeanne, Kathleen & Arnold, Dennis & Debbie, Sean & Louann, Kevin and Lila, her sister-in-law Rosemary and many nieces, nephews and friends who will miss her dearly.
Funeral services will be Saturday 8am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin with a 9am funeral Mass at St. John Vianney in Colonia. A private cremation will follow.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Friday from 4pm to 8pm.
