Obituary for Mary Kate Geraltowski

Mary Kate Geraltowski, age 58 of South Amboy passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy. Born in Jersey City she had resided in South Amboy for many years. She was a graduate of Mary Mount College with a degree is Interior Design. She was recently employed by Amboy Realty Management. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart RC Church in South Amboy where she was also a Eucharistic Minister. Mary Kate was a member of the Mechanicsville Hose Company Woman’s Auxillary, the Melrose Blackhawsk Drum and Bugle Corp, and an honorary member of the South Amboy First Aid Squad.

She is predeceased by her father Robert Rockis. Surviving are her husband of 30 years, Michael, her mother Lucille Rockis, her sisters and their spouses Ceci and Scott Peterson and Denise and Dezso Benyo, her nieces Kendall and her husband John, Stephanie and her husband Matt, and Trisha Peterson, her nephews Josef Benyo and his wife Lexi and Branndon Winters, her sister-in-law Gail Winters and her husband Greg and she was the mother of her beloved 3 furry children Blaise, Belle and Chief.

Funeral services will take place on Friday, 9:15am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin with a 10am Mass at Sacred Heart RC Church in South Amboy. A private cremation will follow. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Thursday from 4pm to 8pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Mary Kate’s name to Sacred Heart Church in South Amboy or to St Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center in Madison, NJ.
