Mary Anne Schimmel, age 64, of Parlin passed away on Friday, September 2, 2022 at The Venetian Care Center, South Amboy. Born in South Amboy, she was a lifelong resident of the state. Before her retirement Mary Anne was employed for the New Jersey Department of Education. She was a loving wife, daughter, sister, and friend.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 34 years Kurt Schimmel, her sister Margaret Maloney Collins, her nieces and nephews Liam, Caitlin, Aedan and Ciara Collins and many loving friends. She was pre-deceased by her parents Rita and James Maloney. Mary Anne was a lover of the New York Mets, travel, music, culture, and most of all her cats.

Calling hours at the Carmen F Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin, NJ will be Saturday September 10, 2022 from 1pm to 5pm.
