Maria M. Freire, age 80 of South River passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Lisbon, Portugal she had resided in South River for the past 37 years. Maria was creative and very talented at sewing and crocheting. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She will truly be missed by her dear family and friends.

She is predeceased by her parents Jose and Idalina Lourenco and her husband Manuel Freire. Surviving are her children and their spouses; Mario and Regina and Tania and Francisco, her grandchildren; Rodrigo, Andre, Ricardo, Vanessa and Caroline and 1 great-grandchild.
