Maria Bratsano, age 91, of Morgan passed away peacefully at the New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home in Menlo Park December 6, 2015. Born in Andros, Greece she immigrated to America and resided in Morgan. Maria was a homemaker and a member of the St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Perth Amboy

Predeceased are her parents Stamatis and Eugeina Bistis. Surviving is her husband George Bratsano, her son Leonidas Bratsano and his wife Rita Bratsano and also her son Stamatis Bratsano, her 3 grandchildren Wendy of East Stroudsburg, PA, Jeffrey and Brian both of Morgan, and her 2 great-grandchildren Taylor and Christopher of East Stroudsburg, PA.

Funeral services will be held Thursday 9:45am at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin with a 10:30am mass at St. Demetrios Perth Amboy followed by burial at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Cemetery

Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Wednesday from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm. A Triagion service will be held Wednesday 7:30pm at the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
