Madeline M. Martin, age 85, passed away on Monday, August 28, 2023, at Robert Wood Johnson, New Brunswick. She is predeceased by her beloved husband of over 52 years, Peter Martin, in 2021, her sisters, Elizabeth, Margie, Terry, Mary, Midge, Helen and Yulanda. She is survived by her brother and his wife, Lou and Ellie Smith as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.

Before her retirement in 1984 Madeline was employed as a payroll manager for NJ Bell. She was a kind and giving person volunteering her time taking care of local elderly women. Madeline was a member of the O.L.V. Columbiettes, the Lady Elks in Sayreville and the Saint Bernadette’s Altar Rosary Society. She will be remembered fondly for her love of animals especially her cats, Cookie, Stripes, and Cali.

Calling hours at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin, NJ 08859 are Thursday from 4pm to 8pm. Funeral services on Friday begin 8:45am at the funeral home with a 9:30am Funeral Mass at St. Bernadette R.C. Church, Parlin. Burial to follow at St. Nicholas Cemetery, Perth Amboy.
