Lucy DeLitizia age 95 of the Parlin section of Old Bridge passed away peacefully on Sunday February 10th 2019, at Riverview Hospice, Redbank. Born in Jersey City of February 11th 1923 to Frank & Margaret Vena she has resided in Parlin for the past 64 years. Mrs. DeLitizia was a communicant of Saint Bernadette’s R. C. Church in Parlin where she had taught CCD classes for many years. Lucy was a former girl scout leader, avid bowler, roller skater and horseback rider.

She is predeceased by her husband Carlo in 2013, her siblings Michael, Victor and Dante Vena and Catherine Esposito. Surviving are her daughter Carolyn Mervin and her husband Martin of Middletown, her grandchildren Taylor & Brian Mervin and her sisters Norma Woodvine and Margaret Cosmanic.

Funeral services will be held Thursday 9:15am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin followed by a 10am mass at Saint Bernadette’s R. C. Church in Parlin with burial to follow at New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Lucy's name to the Alzheimer's Association or to Riverview Hospice.
