Obituary for Louis Towlen

Louis Towlen, age 73, passed away peacefully, at his home, surrounded by his loving family on Saturday May 21, 2022. Born in Newark, he settled in Old Bridge to raise his adored family with his beloved wife Leona, before finally settling in Monroe 16 years ago. Before his retirement, Louis was an electrician working for the IBEW Local 102 of Parsippany. He enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his family and going to Casinos with his wife. He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, friend and so much more. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

He is predeceased by his parents Harry & Helen Towlen and his sister Lois Tuckey and brother Harry Towlen. Surviving his adored wife of 46 years, Leona (Bielski) Towlen, his much-loved children Arlene & her husband Angel Gonzalez, Patrick Towlen, Louis & his wife Stephanie Towlen, his much loved grandchildren David Janssen, Angel Gonzalez, Nicolette Towlen & Melina Towlen, his brother Jack & wife Eileen Towlen and sister Joan Heyes, his favorite grandpups and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Calling hours at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin will be held Tuesday from 4pm to 8pm. Funeral services will take place Wednesday at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home at 8:45am with a 9:30am mass at Our Lady of Victories Church in Sayreville with a burial to follow at Chestnut Hill Cemetery in East Brunswick. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
