Obituary for Louis W Ploskonka

Louis W. Ploskonka, age 93 of Sayreville, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Sayreville, he was a lifelong borough resident. Louis was a proud Navy veteran of World War II, serving as a Seaman 1st Class. Before his retirement, Louis worked as a foreman in the research lab at E.I. DuPont in Parlin for 40 years. He was a communicant of Sacred Heart RC Church in South Amboy, where he was a member of their Holy Name Society and the Sacred Heart Seniors.
He is predeceased by his wife Irene in 2014, his grandsons Christopher and Jeffrey and 5 sisters and 5 brothers.
Surviving are his loving children and their spouses Karen and Sam Howarth, Susan Lang, Louis and Laura Ploskonka, his beloved grandchildren Lindsay, Liana, Daniel & his wife Christine, Tim and his partner Kristin, Julie and her partner Casey, Sammy and his wife Nicole and Brian, his cherished great-grandson Connor and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday 9:30am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin, with a 10:00am Mass at Sacred Heart RC Church in South Amboy. A burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Parlin.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Tuesday from 3pm to 7pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Louis’ name be made to Sacred Heart RC Church 531 Washington Ave. South Amboy, NJ 08879.
