Obituary for Lorraine P McArthur
Lorraine P. McArthur (Oakes), age 89 of Sayreville, peacefully passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2021 in Texas with her loving family by her side. Born in Brooklyn, she had resided in Sayreville for most of her life before moving to Texas with her son & daughter in law. Lorraine loved nothing more than her family, her pride and joy were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lorraine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, friend and so much more. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
She is predeceased by her beloved husband James McArthur in 2013, her parents Albert and Grace Oakes as well as her sister Grace.
Surviving are her adored children James & Donna McArthur, Bonnie Jean McArthur-Rapp and Randy & Pamela McArthur, her 7 cherished grandchildren Dawn, Sean, Jennifer, James, Erin, Dana, and Ryann, and 6 much loved great-grandchildren Morgan, Ashley, Lilyanne, Mackenzie, Killian and Rosie as well as her siblings Florence, Muriel, Tally and James and many nieces, nephews and friends who will miss her dearly.
Funeral services will be Tuesday 9:30am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane Parlin with a 10am prayer service at the funeral home. An entombment will follow at Holmdel Cemetery.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Monday from 4pm to 8pm.
