Obituary for Lawrence Paul Colella Sr.
Parlin
Lawrence Paul Colella Sr., age 73 of Parlin passed away Sunday, September 6, 2020 at his home, with his loving family by his side. Born in Montclair, he had resided in Parlin for many years. Before his retirement, Larry worked in energy sales for several years. He was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and a communicant of St. Bernadette’s RC Church in Parlin.
He is predeceased by his parents Lacey Paul and Antoinette Colella (Ricciardiello). Surviving are his loving wife Roseann Colella (Pietropollo), his children Nicole Antoinette Bagner and her husband Kenneth, Lawrence Paul Colella, Jr. and his wife Jennifer, and his grandchildren Michael and Dionna Bagner and Victoria, Francesca and Leo Colella.
Funeral services will be Friday 8:45am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin with a 9:30am funeral mass to follow at St. Bernadette’s RC Church in Parlin. Entombment will take place at Holy Cross Burial Park in South Brunswick.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Thursday from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Lawrence's name to Disabled American Veterans at www.dav.org.
Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, please note that a maximum of 100 visitors will be allowed inside the funeral home at once and masks must be worn at all times. We encourage visitors to limit their time in the building to allow the family the maximum amount of guests possible Letters of condolence, complete funeral details and directions may be found on www.spezzifuneralhome.com.
