Obituary for Laurence A. "Larry" Johnson II

Old Bridge
Lawrence “Larry” A. Johnson age 67, passed away Friday August 14, 2015 at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Old Bridge. Born in Newark, Larry resided in Parlin for the past 25 years and Colonia for 22 years prior. After graduating from Essex Catholic High School, Larry attended Seton Hall University. He most recently worked at Woodbridge Developmental Center and was a member of CWA Local 1040. He was an avid bowler, member of the USBC, and proud President of Majestic Thursday Night Mixed League for the past 15 years.

He is predeceased by his parents Lawrence A. & Margaret T. (nee) McHugh and his nephew Kevin Zebrowski. Surviving is his beloved Pamela Kotula of 30 years, his sister Maureen & her spouse Kenneth F. Zebrowski of Lavallette, nephew and best friend Kieran Zebrowski and his wife Jennifer of Colonia and great-nephew Kieran Reilly. Larry was deeply loved and will be missed by Pamela’s children. Mets games and bowling nights won’t be the same without you, Uncle Larry.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be Monday from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm. Funeral services will be held Monday 8:00pm from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin.

In Lieu of flowers, please make donations in Larry’s name to the Kevin Zebrowski Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Ferro Alumni Center, Main Street Farmington, ME 04938.
