Obituary for Kathleen Pashley

Kathleen Mary Pashley, 83, of Parlin passed away peacefully on Monday, May 9, 2022 with her loving family surrounding her with joy, peace, and humor.

Born and raised a native of Jersey City, Kathleen became a member of the St Bernadette Parish Family and resided in Parlin for over 50 years. After earning her Bachelor of Science from Seton Hall University, Kathleen became a registered nurse and worked for several years as an RN in Jersey City. When she married, Kathleen left her nursing career to devote her considerable skills and efforts to raising her family. She became the best PTA member, library volunteer, sports mom, band parent, community member and friend. After her children were grown Kathleen continued her life of care and service by working with The Meals on Wheels aid organization. She always spoke fondly of her senior friends. She will be missed dearly by all who had the pleasure of knowing her, especially her much loved group of friends known as “The Club”.

She is pre-deceased by her loving husband of 55 years, Donald, formerly from Brooklyn, New York.
She is survived by her loving daughter Kathleen and her husband Eric as well as her beloved sons John and Allen, and Christopher and his wife Jen.

She had 10 grandchildren who adored her and 2 great grandchildren to whom she was “O.G.” (Original Grandma). She is deeply grieved by her 17-year-old dog, Skippy.
Her family would like it to be known that she battled diabetes for 81 years and at the end of her earthly life, she triumphed.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate consideration to donating to the American Diabetes Association.
