Obituary for Julia T Potoski (Maguire)

Julia T. Maguire Potoski, age 83 of Parlin, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2020, at the Atrium at Matawan. Born in Ireland, she had lived in New York before moving to Parlin 48 years ago. Before her retirement Julia worked for John Wiley & Sons Publisher in Manhattan as an assistant to the publisher. Julia was a true matriarch of her family and loved spending her time with her children and grandchildren. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Victories RC Church in Sayreville.
She is predeceased by her husband Joseph Potoski, her sisters Mary Maguire and Phyllis Kelliher, and her brother Liam Maguire.
Surviving are her son Joseph, her daughter Lisa Fedor and her husband Steve, her two cherished granddaughters Julia and Emily Fedor, her sister-in-law Carol Pieve and her family in Ireland, brother Michael Maguire and his wife Deidre, sister Ann Walsh and her husband Patrick, sister-in-law Collette Maguire, brother-in-law Brendan Kelliher and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral services will be Thursday 8:45am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin with a 9:30am funeral mass at Our Lady of Victories RC Church in Sayreville. Burial will follow at the New Jersey Veteran’s Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Wednesday from 4pm to 8pm.
Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, please note that a maximum of 100 visitors will be allowed inside the building at once and masks must be worn at all times. We encourage visitors to limit their time in the building to allow the family the maximum amount of guests possible.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Our Lady of Victories conference of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul 36 Main St. Sayreville, NJ 08872.
