Obituary for Judith Kryzkowski

Judith W. Kryzkowski, 83 of Sayreville, NJ passed away peacefully April 26, 2021 at St. Peter’s University Hospital surrounded by her loving husband and five daughters.

Judith was born April 8, 1938 in Sayreville, NJ to Joseph and Dorothy Walus. She married her husband, “her Eddie” on October 17, 1959. She was predeceased by her father, Joseph, in 1976, her mother, Dorothy, in 2010, her beloved grandson, Eric, in 2014, and her dear brother Joseph S. Walus, Jr. in 2006.

Judith graduated from Sayreville War Memorial High School in 1956. She began her career at Hercules, Inc. in 1956 as an Administrative Assistant, elected to take time away to raise her five daughters, and returned in 1979 until her retirement in 1996.

Judith was a loyal congregant of St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish. She was actively involved in the Sayreville Senior Citizens Thursday Club, where she held the position of Membership Chairman. Judith had a love for stamp and coin collecting and had accumulated an impressive collection over her lifetime. Judith was known for her gift to socialize. She was always eager to talk with family and friends on the phone or at social gatherings. She was a great listener and truly had the gift to make everyone she talked to feel understood, accepted, and valued. Lastly, Judith loved her family more than anything. She had five daughters that she adored and 10 grandchildren that she loved talking about, spending time with, and sharing in their life accomplishments. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.

Surviving is her loving husband of 61 years, Edward; her five daughters, Mary Lynn and Wayne Mills of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, Judy Landis of Jamesburg, NJ, Susan and William Thompson of Freehold, NJ, Janet and Kenny Valvano of Monroe Twp., NJ and Pamela and John Vitacco of Monroe Twp., NJ; nine grandchildren, Erin Munsell, Sean Kryzkowski, William Thompson, Courtney Thompson, Carly Mills, Shannon Thompson, Jenna Valvano, Kayla Valvano, and Ashley Vitacco; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Calling hours at the Mailizewski Memorial Home, 121 Main Street, Sayreville, will take place on Sunday from 12pm to 4pm. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, 8:30am at the Maliszewski Memorial Home followed by a 9am Funeral Mass at St. Stanislaus Kostka R.C. Church, Sayreville. Burial to follow at St. Stan’s Cemetery, Sayreville.
