Obituary for Josephine Ust (Chrzan)

Josephine Ust, age 90, of Sayreville, peacefully passed away on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy with her loving family at her side. Born in Sayreville to the late Lawrence and Ann Chrzan, Josephine was a lifelong resident of the borough. Mrs. Ust was a proud homemaker who always made sure her family was well taken care of. She was a devout parishioner of Our Lady of Victories RC Church as well as a member of Group 81 Union of Polish Women. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Josephine is predeceased by her beloved husband Alexander and by her great-granddaughter Morgan Mirande. Surviving are her loving children and their spouses Allen and Manuela Ust of Englewood, Lawrence and Amy Ust of Sayreville, Wayne Ust of Sayreville, and Brian Ust and Gary Forlini of Bronxville, NY; her 7 dear grandchildren and their spouses Ryan and Megan Ust, Laurie and Jerry Mirande, Jarred and Megan Ust, Kyle and Nikki Ust, Brad and Cori Ust, Brianna Ust and Alex Ust; and her 9 great-grandchildren Ronan, Declan, Brooke, Alexis, Cameron, Hayden, Savannah, Brody, and Macy.
Funeral services will take place on Tuesday at 9:30am from the Maliszewski Memorial Home, 121 Main Street, Sayreville followed by a 10am mass at Our Lady of Victories RC Church in Sayreville. Burial will immediately follow at New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be held on Tuesday morning from 8:30am to 9:30am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Josephine’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital at www.stjude.org/donations.
