Obituary for Josephine Delikat (Szatkowski)
Parlin
Josephine Delikat age 96 of the Parlin section of Sayreville passed away Friday September 11, 2015 at Venetian Care & Rehabilitation in South Amboy. Born in South Amboy she had resided in Parlin most of her life. Before her retirement she was employed as a seamstress with Wilshire Fashion in South River and was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. Mrs. Delikat was a member of the Sayreville Lady Dem’s, Sayreville Senior Citizens, a life long communicant of Sacred Heart R. C. Church in South Amboy where she was a member of the Rosary Society and Sacred Heart Seniors.
She is predeceased by her husband Anthony S. Delikat in 2004, her son Richard Delikat in 2012, her granddaughter Nicole and her sisters Pauline Gabel and Martha Petner and her brother Joseph Szatkowski. Surviving are her son Robert Delikat and his wife Karen of Sayreville, her daughter in law Carmen Delikat of Sayreville, her grandchildren Anthony, Vincent, Robbie, Joseph, Kelly Jay and, her great grandchildren Dominic, Anthony, Tyler, Edward, Jacqueline, Cynthia, Izabella, Ciara, Carlos and Vincent.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday 8:30am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin, followed by a 9am mass at Sacred Heart R. C. Church in South Amboy with burial to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Parlin.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Tuesday 6pm to 9pm.
