Joseph J. Sparno, age 92 of the Parlin section of Sayreville passed away peacefully on Thursday January 16, 2020 at his daughters home with his loving and devoted daughters at his side. Born in Bronx, New York he has resided in Sayreville for the past 58 years. Mr. Sparno was employed as a baker all of his life retiring from Manhattan Bagel in Sayreville. Joseph proudly served his country during World War II in the U.S. Navy.
He is predeceased by his parents Anthony & Mary Sparno and his loving wife Kathleen Casino Sparno in 2009. Surviving are his children and their spouses Kathleen & Robert Korth, Linda & George Orzo, Mary Ann DePasquale and Anthony Sparno, 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday January 21, 2020 at 12:30pm at Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick under the direction of the Maliszewski Memorial Home 121 Main Street Sayreville, N.J.
