Obituary for Joseph Laufnick

North Brunswick
Joseph Laufnick, age 64 passed away peacefully on Thursday September 10, 2015 at his home with his loving and devoted family at his side. Born in Shenandoah Pennsylvania he resided in Parlin before moving to North Brunswick in 1994. Before his retirement in 2003 he was the owner of Laufnick Masonry Contractors in Parlin and North Brunswick which he operated for 30 years. Joseph’s company manufactured and installed commercial Laundromats and Dry Cleaners. He proudly served his country in the Vietnam War serving in the U.S. Army in the 51st Signal Battalion. Joseph was a member of the North Brunswick American Legion Post 459, Edison Disabled American Veterans Post 52 and a communicant of St Augustine R. C. in Kendall Park.

He is predeceased by his parents John & Bertha Laufnick, his step mother Marie Laufnick and his brother Anthony Laufnick. Surviving are his wife of 43 years Joan Matthews Laufnick, his children Amanda McMahon and her husband Michael of Highland Park and Christopher Laufnick of North Brunswick and his loving grandchildren Michael, Cara and Colin.

Funeral services will be held Monday 8:45am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin followed by a 10am mass at Saint Augustine R. C. Church in Kendall Park with cremation to follow. Inurnment of his cremains will be held Tuesday 11:30am at New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Sunday from 2pm to 5pm.
