Obituary for Joseph Mondalto

Joseph Mondalto, age 65 of South Amboy, NJ, passed away Saturday June 27,2020. He was
born on October 4th, 1954 in Newark, NJ, where he lived for 51 years before moving to South
Amboy. He graduated from Bloomfield Tech vocational school. He worked as a mechanic for
some time and then moved on to begin his career as a pipe fitter and welder in his own
company, Pro Welding. He had an outstanding contract for 40+ years with Safety Kleen of
Linden, NJ.
Joe was an avid fisherman, enjoyed camping with family, planting and caring for his figs, and
there wasn’t a thing he couldn’t fix. His wife Maria, was the love of his life. He really enjoyed her
cooking and how she was always by his side. He was a man of great integrity, who performed
countless selfless acts of kindness for his family, friends and many others. He never held a
grudge, saw the good in everyone and loved unconditionally.
He is predeceased by his parents Charles and Lucy Mondalto. He is survived by his loving wife
Maria of 39 years, his children and their significant others, Ruben and Jennifer, Nicole and Andy
& Joey & Cassie, his loving grandson Ruben Jr, his brother & sister-in law Charles & Roxanne,
sister Lucille, God daughter Joi-Imani and many nieces & nephews.
