Obituary for John J Dalton Sr.

John J. Dalton Sr., age 72 of Parlin, passed away Sunday June 6, 2021 peacefully at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy with his loving family by his side. Born in Jersey City, he moved to Parlin over 40 years ago to start and raise his adored family. Mr. Dalton worked as a stock trader in NYC and Jersey City and since his retirement from the Stock Exchange he earned his real estate agent license and worked for KP Edgestone Relators. John loved nothing more than spending time with his family. John was a proud Army Veteran serving in Germany during the Vietnam War. John was a member of the Security Traders Association of NY, the Monmouth & Ocean County Regional Relators Board as well as the Middlesex County Board of Realtors Association. John was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend and so much more. He will be missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.

He is predeceased by his parents Henry & Gertrude Dalton as well as his siblings James Dalton & Robert Dalton.

Surviving is his adored wife Jane of 47 years, his children and their significant others John Dalton Jr & Claire Bonvita and Carolyn & her husband Joseph Dellisanti as well as his much loved grandchildren Liliana & Emilia Dellisanti, his siblings Anne O’Brien, Rita Healy, Mary Hussey & her husband Mark, George Dalton and his wife Louise, Vincent Smith & his wife Sharon and his sister in law Jill Dalton and many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors.

Funeral services will be Thursday 9:45am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin with a 10:30am Mass at St. Bernadette’s Church in Parlin.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in John’s name to American Cancer Society, The John McGovern Memorial Scholarship at St. Peter’s Prep in Jersey City, or The Hackensack Meridian Raritan Bay Medical Center in honor of the ICU Nurses.
