John R. Carney, age 71 of Sayreville passed away on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. Born in South Amboy. He had resided in Sayreville for many years before moving to Old Bridge. John was a very proud US Marine serving 2 tours in the Vietnam War. Before his retirement he was employed by DuPont in Parlin for 25 years. John lived his life to the fullest. He was spontaneous and always up for a new adventure. He enjoyed spending time and going out to eat with his family as much as he could. He was a master of all trades, he could build or fix anything from start to finish. John was an amazing and selfless father and grandfather, his world revolved around his children and grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends.

He is predeceased by his parents John and Dorothy Wisniewski and his brothers Thomas Wisniewski and Gordon Carney. Surviving are his daughters Kara Carney of Florida, Renee Carney and her partner Daryl Sanders of Old Bridge and Jill Case and her husband Jesse Case of Aberdeen, his grandchildren Tariq, Jalen, Summer, Rylynn and Avery, his brother James Carney and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4pm to 7pm at the Maliszewski Memorial Home, 121 Main St, Sayreville. A Mass will be offered on Friday, 9:30am at Our Lady of Victories RC Church in Sayreville with burial to follow at St Stanislaus Cemetery in Sayreville.
