Obituary for John J. "Chick" Tricarico

Edison
John J. “Chick” Tricarico, age 68, of Edison passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick surrounded by his loving family. Born in New York City, John moved to Parlin where he was raised and lived for many years. He later moved to Edison, having raised his family there for over 40 years. After graduating from Sayreville War Memorial High School, John proudly served as a Marine in the Vietnam War. In his free time, Chick loved gardening, restoring cars, and camping. He was a man who could always fix or build anything to perfection. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

John is predeceased by his parents John “Jack” Sr. and Margaret “Marge” Tricarico. Surviving is his beloved wife of 47 years Sharon (McGrath) of Edison; his loving children and their spouses Brian and Desiree of HI, and Denise and Gregory Laplaca of Pt. Pleasant; his sisters Marguerite Tricarico-King and Susan Tricarico-Mercer, both of Brick; his wonderful grandchildren Riley Minnig and Mia Laplaca, and Colleen and Caroline Tricarico; as well as MANY loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Calling hours will take place on Sunday from 2pm to 6pm at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin with a prayer service scheduled for 5pm. A future interment will be private.
