Obituary for John LaPatriello

John LaPatriello, age 82, of Sayreville peacefully passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Born and raised in New York City to the late Dominic and Rae LaPatriello, John moved to Sayreville many years ago where he raised his own family. Before his retirement, Mr. LaPatriello was a truck driver with Roadway Express in Kearny. He was a devout communicant of Our Lady of Victories RC Church, a member of the Commission of Aging, and a member of the Sayreville Seniors Tuesday Club where he was Sergeant of Arms. John will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
John is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Joan LaPatriello of Sayreville; his loving children and their spouses John and Kelly LaPatriello of Indian Trail, NC, Susan and Frank Pietropollo of Old Bridge, Donna and John Kucek of Glenmoore, PA and Amy and Greg Fanelli of Hazlet; his dear grandchildren Amanda, Michael, Alyssa, Frankie, Kristen, Madelynn, Mack, Kateri, and Brooklyn; and his great-grandchildren Benjamin and Nora.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Friday at 8:45am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin with a 9:30am Catholic Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Victories RC Church. Entombment will immediately follow at Holy Cross Burial Park and Mausoleum in South Brunswick.
Calling hours at the funeral home will take place on Thursday from 3pm to 7pm. Due to current COVID restrictions, please note that a maximum of 50 visitors will be allowed inside the building at once and masks must be worn at all times.
