Joao Manuel Vilarinho-Ferreira, age 57, of South River, peacefully passed away on Wednesday November 27, 2019 at his home. Born in Gafanha do Carmo, Portugal, Joao moved to the United States and had lived in South River for over 30 years. He worked at Omega Construction in Dayton as a mechanic. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Joao is survived by his parents Clarindo Casqueira and Clementina Vilarinho Ferreira; his sister and her husband Nidia Ferreira and Francisco Lopes of Portugal; his nephew Bruno Lopes of Portugal; his uncles Domingos Ferreira of Portugal and Carlos Bichao of Newark; as well as many loving cousins, family and friends.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects to Joao on Sunday from 3pm to 6pm at the M.A. Maliszewski Funeral Home, 218 Whitehead Ave. South River, NJ. Burial will take place at Gafanha do Carmo in Portugal.
