Obituary for Joanna Boyd (Swerdzerski)

Joanna Boyd, age 68, peacefully passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2020 at St. Peter’s University Hospital in New Brunswick, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Newark, Joanna was raised in Sayreville before living in Old Bridge and most recently Spotswood. Joanna worked with the Brain Injury Alliance of NJ in many capacities. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Joanna is predeceased by her son Matthew Boyd, her husband Philip Eskiewicz, her parents Joseph Stanley and Anna Swerdzewski, and her sister Alexandra Shedlock. Surviving are her 2 loving children Eve Pesci of PA and Jordan Boyd of Hawthorne; her dear grandchildren Joey Boyd and Maya Pesci, both of Parlin; the father of Matthew and Jordan, David Boyd of Old Bridge; cousins Juanita, Barbara, Roseanne, Geannie, Linda, Nancy, Helen Ann, and Patricia; her dear friend Julie Milazzo, who was by her side throughout her illness; as well many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Services will take place on Saturday, March 7 at 11am at Cross of Glory Lutheran Church, 95 Cambridge Drive, Aberdeen Township, NJ.
