Obituary for Joan T Singer
Joan T. Kozak Singer, age 93 of Monroe Township, passed away peacefully on Thursday February 23, 2023 at Monroe Village. Born in Sayreville, she resided in Spotswood and East Brunswick for many years prior to moving to Monroe.
Joan was known for her wonderful sense of humor, her beautiful smile and her snazzy fashion sense. She loved music, especially country and polkas and she loved to dance. She adored all animals, especially dogs. She played a mean game of Scrabble, was always up for a card game and enjoyed trivia, crossword puzzles and Wordle.
Joan is predeceased by her parents Alexander and Beatrice Kozak and her daughter Beverly Singer, as well as her brother Henry and sisters Jean, Jennie, Peggy, Fannie and Lori. Surviving are her loving son David Singer of Fairfax, VA; her grandson Christopher; great grandsons Benjamin and Alexander; her brother Alexander “Sonny” Kozak of Old Bridge; her loving nieces Janice Flynn, Bernice Satorski and Barbara Keegan as well as many other nieces and nephews and a wide circle of dear friends. Joan’s family would like to offer special thanks to the staff and caregivers at Monroe Village for their kindness and excellent loving care.
A Mass of Christian burial is being offered 11am at St. Stanislaus Kostka RC Church in Sayreville on Tuesday, February 28. Burial will follow at St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Sayreville.
