Obituary for Jeanne E Ronan

Jeanne E  Ronan
Jeanne E. Ronan, age 72 of Lewes, DE passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2020 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. Born in the Bay Ridge section of Brooklyn, she resided in Barnegat for many years before moving to Delaware in 2016. She was employed by Verizon as a Procurement Manager for 37 years. After retirement, she served as a communicant and Eucharistic Minister at St Mary’s Parish in Barnegat. Jeanne enjoyed knitting and kayaking, she was a proud breast cancer survivor, a member of the Red Hats Society, and was a past president of the Knights of Columbus Council #908 Ladies Auxiliary in Brooklyn.

She is predeceased by her parents Francis and Virginia Ronan, her brothers Kevin and Terrence Ronan and her brother-in-law James Hoynes. Surviving are her siblings and their spouses Eileen Hoynes, Joseph and Eileen Ronan and Daniel and Mary Ronan, her nieces and nephews Keith, Michael, Erin, Patty, Megan, Christine, Kerry, Colleen, Matthew, Brian, Patrick, Christopher, Daniel, Rachel and Dylan, many cousins, great nieces and nephews, and her faithful companion, her dog, Fiona.

Funeral services will take place Wednesday 9:00am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin, NJ with an 11:00am Mass at St Mary’s Parish, 747 W Bay Avenue, Barnegat, NJ 08005. A private cremation will follow.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be Tuesday from 4pm to 8pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial donations be made to Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey at bit.ly/SupportRUCancer. Please indicate that the gift is in memory of Jeanne E. Ronan.
