Obituary for Jean Feeley (Glacken)

Henderson, NV
Jean Feeley (Glacken), age 76, formerly of Old Bridge, peacefully passed away at her home on Tuesday, December 26, 2023. Born in Newark and raised in Laurence Harbor, NJ to the late John and Irene Glacken. Jean lived in Old Bridge for many years where she married and raised a family of 5 children with her former husband, Charles “Chuck” Feeley before moving to Nevada, where she has lived for the past 25 years. Before her retirement, she worked many years with Showboat Casino in Atlantic City as a blackjack and craps dealer and then floor manager and finished out her career at The Reserve in Las Vegas.

A mother, sister, significant other & friend is someone who gives you lots to remember, to laugh about, to be grateful for, to love. Jean did just that! There aren’t enough pages in a book to write about all the things that made up Jean and the reason others gravitated toward her. Full of life and a smile that could light up a room, Jean usually was the one in a group who laughed the loudest and made others laugh right along with her with her hilarious sarcastic sense of humor. You could hear her from a mile away... just ask any of casino co-workers and friends. Jean easily made just about everything fun, from days at the beach with her children with all their beach toys in tow, to fun summer nights on the boardwalk during family vacations, to pool days at home with every pool toy & float she could find, puzzles with the kids on rainy days, and many many days of BINGO shared with her kids! When Jean wasn’t playing BINGO in her free time, she spent many days in front of the sewing machine making clothes, Halloween costumes, Easter outfits, curtains, chair covers and just about anything you could possibly make with fabric! Jean was a loyal friend who cherished those closest to her, and stuck by you to the very end. She was generous and enjoyed spending time with her family. She adored her granddaughters, both of which she called her “Sweet Pea” and there never seemed to be enough hours in the day to spend with them. When Jean loved, she loved fiercely and she held those she loved close to her heart.

Jean is predeceased by her dear son Evan, her brother John Glacken, her former husband and still longtime friend Charles “Chuck” Feeley, as well as her other siblings, Barbara, Carol, Henry & Steven, and her lifelong best friend Cheryl LoSapio. Surviving are her loving children Tara Feeley, Shawn Feeley, and Erin Feeley, all of Tinton Falls, and Brian Feeley of NV; her longtime significant other and “My Forever Love” of 25 years Fred Conquest of NV; her "Sweet Peas", granddaughters Gabby Feeley and Delilah Feeley, and Delilah's mom, Allison Carroll; her sister Patty; as well as many other dear family members and friends she was blessed to know and love.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11am on Tuesday, January 9th at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin with burial to follow at New Calvary Cemetery.

Calling hours at the funeral home will take place on Monday January 8th from 4pm to 8pm.
