Obituary for Jane Pietraszka (Szkodny)
Jane Szkodny Pietraszka, age 80 of Sayreville passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 6th 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in New Brunswick to the late Julius and Anna (Mozdzen) Szkodny, Jane was a lifelong resident of Sayreville. Before her retirement, Jane was a legal secretary for Casper Boehm in Sayreville for 20 years and then a Bid Supervisor for the New Jersey Turnpike Authority in Woodbridge NJ for 19 years. Jane loved spending time with her family and friends.
She is predeceased by her beloved husband of over 40 years, Edward “Wallio” Pietraszka in 2011.
Surviving are her children, son Paul Pietraszka, daughter Linda and husband James Stavola, her granddaughter Kylie Ann and husband Dylan, her greatgrandchildren Colton James and Cheyenne Jane, her brothers Edward Szkodny and wife Donna, Raymond Szkodny and wife Nancy, Robert Szkodny and his wife Elizabeth, her sister by heart Bernadine and her husband Harry Pachkowski, and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss her dearly
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 9:15am from the Malisewszki Memorial Home, 121 Main St. Sayreville 08872 with a 10:00am Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Victories R.C. Church in Sayreville. Burial will follow at St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Sayreville.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Sunday, from 12pm-2pm and 5pm to 7pm
