Mrs Chaplin, I have so many wonderful memories from the 50 years of being friends with Susan. You always treated me so lovingly. Some of my fondest memories are giggling over you telling me every morning to "button up your chest!" on my winter coat as Sue and I headed off to Jr. High. Or the time I was doing a silly wiggly dance in your dining room, and you asked what I was doing...and I said "dancing"...You laughed and said..."Holly, thats funny, but NOT AT MY DINING ROOM TABLE!". We all laughed our heads off. The phrase "Not at MY dining room table" became a new way for Sue and I to suggest maybe we were acting a bit too ridiculous! There are so many more stories like this. You were a great influence in my life, and I loved you very much.

You'd roll your eyes at these efforts I know! I can hear you tell me to stop crying...get to the laughs and telling stories. But big love means big sadness when the 'object' is not touchable....and you know Mom, you are my sunshine...my compass, my cheerleader and hero (and I must stop, there's too much and I hear you telling me to stop!) I love you, thank you for life and for knowing how precious I was to you...thank you for your pride and commitment and devotion and showing me how to stick out a hard ride. And thanks for the full gamut of emotions we shared...my best giddy, arguments, hope, inspiration all happened with you! I thank God and know you're okay--- and I know in time I will be too. We all will. XO XO XO
