Obituary for James Patrick Murphy Jr.

James Patrick Murphy Jr.
James Patrick Murphy Jr, 27, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 8th 2020. He was born on August 27th, 1993 in New Jersey, the son of James Murphy and Deborah (Bobko) Murphy.

James was compassionate and creative with a great sense of humor. He expressed himself through music and writing, his raps were heard through his house. He was a talented photographer capturing the world as he saw it; and a street artist coloring it in. He traveled through the streets on skateboards, bikes, and in his Cadillac. He moved from New Jersey to Florida and Tennessee. He was adventurous which left him with many stories to tell and many friends to share them with.

He found passion in his work of admissions into rehabilitation centers where he guided addicts toward a life of sobriety. It’s unknown how many people he helped. James “met people where they were at” and could relate to people from all walks of life.

James was the middle child and a very special part of his family. He was a best friend to his Dad, Mom, brother, and sister. His family, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins affectionately knew him for his hugs.

Just as he would help people, he liked to help animals. He loved his dog Sloan, who he rescued.

Surviving are his beloved father, James Murphy Sr., and his loving mother, Deborah Murphy; his sister, ToniAnn Murphy, and his brother Daniel Murphy; his grandmother, Mathilda Murphy; his dog, Sloan, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
